An official musical celebrating the life, music, and career of Michael Jackson will make its debut in 2020, helmed by the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage.
While Jackson’s hit-laden discography will feature heavily throughout, choreography will be taken care of by Tony Award-winning Christopher Wheeldon of the Royal Ballet who adapted An American In Paris into a Broadway smash.
Backing the production is Jackson’s estate and Columbia Live Stage.
While the production is still in its early stages, it’s practically undoubted that this will be a hit, and subsequently make its way across to the West End and the rest of the world.
