Catch Outline in Color play Wrangler Studios this Friday September 15. You probably notice how they spell colour, yep Outline in Color are a post-hardcore band from the USA. Their latest LP Struggle might be their most aggressive work as a five-piece metal band. Consisting of 14 incredibly loud and lengthy tunes, this LP has successfully produced their biggest singles yet – Struggle, Eat Your Heart Out, and Alive. Bayharbour and Kings will be on support duties. If you’re into the heavy music scene, you should definitely give this one a try. Head to wranglerstudios.com.au for more information.

Wrangler Studios are killing it with their all ages gigs and we’re not complaining. This Sunday, we’ve got Jeff Rosenstock on the lineup. The big apple’s very own is bringing his full band down under for the sixth time. Sounds unfamiliar? Don’t worry I will tell you all about it. Rosenstock has sang and written songs for New York’s folk-punk band Bomb the Music Industry!, Kudrow and The Arrogant Sons of Bitches. The man also said it himself that “[he] secretly write pop songs and [tries] to sell them to moviemakers sometimes.” Lowkey, we see. In addition, he has played festivals including Pitchfork. To convince you even more, last year Rosenstock supported The Smith Street Band’s Will Wagner, our favourite. Oh, plus his latest album WORRY prompts Pitchfork to claim that “[he] is one of the most important figures in modern punk.”

First of all, have you had the chance to give London Grammar’s latest LP Truth Is A Beautiful Things a listen? You really should because it really is a beautiful thing. This LP charted at number one in the UK. Say no more, fam. Moreover, the first single off this album Rooting For You peaked at number 58 on the UK Singles Chart. London Grammar’s musical style has been compared a lot to Florence + the Machine, mainly because they consistently showcase ethereal and classical sounds. Frontwoman Hannah Reid’s vocal delivery is powerful, with melancholy and atmospheric instrumentations. Secondly, which is the news we all have been waiting for, the dream-pop English trio are here next Tuesday, September 19 at Margaret Court Arena. Sydney-based trio Mansionair will open up the evening.
