This week The Push goes all out with their fun, creative and informative events. FReeZA Summits hit the road across Victoria again this July. Haven’t heard of FReeZA Summits? First of all, they are absolutely free. Second of all, FReeZA Summits is a series of music industry training workshops for young people aged 12-25. And guess what? It includes lunch. Whoever misses this out is an unlucky soul. The 2017 FReeZA Summits include sessions on social media and facebook advertising, effective event artwork and visual design (owing to the fact that we live in the 21st century where everything is highly competitive and requires us to be more creative than ever? Yup, we need this session), booking agents and artist offers, an industry panel event pitch workshop and last but not least, a live performance by Bec Sandridge. Who would turn down Sandridge’s silvery voice and beautiful eyebrows? The Push will stop by Ballarat Regional Soccer Facility on Tuesday, July 4 and Benalla Drill Hall Community Activity Centre on Wednesday, July 5. One more thing, you need to register by heading to The Push’s website (it’s super easy).
Aside from that, Monash Youth Services and Quicksound Productions present The Monash Music Battle 2017. If you’re thirsty for fresh sounds, you might want to come to this. It features young, local talent from across Monash and the bands will be competing from 6.15-9.30 pm on Friday June 30 at the Mount Waverley Community Centre. Entries only cost $5. You’re also able to vote and if you’re lucky, there’s going to be a special audience choice prize on the night. Definitely going to be a great night full of talented local acts. On the very same night, Manningham City Council want all of you to kick-off your winter holidays at Aquarena. Spend the night at Winter Kickback!from 8-11pm accompanied by stress-free and danceable tunes from DJ Smiley Bandit. You can even bring your own lilos and floatation devices, just like a proper pool party. Entry is $10 and by coming along you will be supporting Manningham Young Leaders to fundraise for volunteer organisations in Cairns next year. You can book online or purchase tickets the door.
