Halsey Rd Vintage Emporium in Airport West will close its doors on 31 December after more than two decades in business.
The family-owned business, Halsey Rd Vintage Emporium in Airport West, has announced it will shut down at the end of the year, with owners Todd and Ann Wren citing a significant rent increase as the reason behind the closure. The vintage furniture and collectables store has been a fixture in Airport West for 22 years, building a loyal customer base drawn to its eclectic range of antique furniture, mid-century pieces and salvaged treasures.
All stock must go before the 31 December deadline, with the store offering major discounts across its collection. Hidden items that have never been available for sale will also be brought out during the closing period. Some stock will be sold via auction, with details to be posted on the store’s Facebook page.

Halsey Rd Vintage Emporium, previously known as Halsey Road Recyclers, has been run by Todd and Ann Wren in Airport West for over 27 years. Todd has been in the antique dealing business since 1986, making him one of Melbourne’s most experienced operators in the field. Over the years, the warehouse has become known for its well-organised collection spanning several eras, from vintage and antique pieces to industrial and mid-century furniture.
Stock at Halsey Rd Vintage Emporium is sourced from deceased estates and downsizers, with pieces available for purchase or hire as film and TV props. Located just 25 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, the store has served collectors, decorators and production companies looking for unique second-hand finds.
Current trading hours at the Airport West location are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 2pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, with appointments also available.
