The effortlessly enigmatic Aussie blues-rock band will leave the music scene just as curiously as they've always defined it.
The Swamp Stompers emerged from the dirty backwaters of NSW with inspirations ranging from John Butler Trio to Led Zeppelin to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Yet they managed to create their own sound – funky rock and blues with heavy grooves – with catchy guitar riffs and didgeridoo soundscapes setting this original blues-rock trio apart from the pack.

Without a full length album to their name, they’ve still stomped their mark on prominent Australian festivals like Blues on Broadbeach and Queenscliff with high-energy live shows.
Now, The Swamp Stompers’ debut 13-track album will be released on September 28. It’s the end of an era, as after 10 years together, The Swamp Stompers will be breaking up. They’re planning a European farewell tour for May 2022 and an Australian farewell tour will take place in late 2022.
Featuring the original lineup of Corey Legge, Luke Ligtenberg and Mitch Broadhead, the blues-rock trio’s debut 13-track album is a mix of re-recorded old crowd favourites (Fly, Medusa the Seducer, The Game of Life), old school covers (Boom Boom by John Lee Hooker and Black & Blue by Chain), re-mixes of tracks from the 2018 ‘Shadows on the Wall’ EP (Hey, Shadows on the Wall, Wishing I Had You), and brand new songs (Goin’ Down South, Argentinian Woman, One Step Forward Two Steps Back, You Know You Got It (Feel Alright), Make Hay While the Sun Shines).
