Adrian was a prestigious costume designer of the Golden Age of Hollywood (late 1920s – late 1950s) and produced some of the most iconic costumes remembered today, including MGM’s The Wizard of Oz.

In tribute to his illustrious career, ACMI will be screening a selection of Adrian’s best work with MGM, including: Dancing Lady, Chained, No More Ladies, Mata Hari, Queen Christina, Camille, The Women and many more.

Preceding the film season, NGV Curator of International Fashion and Textiles, Roger Leong, will join John Flaus in a free panel discussion about Adrian’s career entitled We need to talk about Adrian: MGM’s Leading Costume Designer.
