A new winter beer oasis will pop up in the heart of Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market every Weekend from August to early September, celebrating Melbournian’s love of craft beer.

Central Beer District, is led by new independent brewery Brick Lane Brewing Co and will gather craft beer from well-known microbreweries from across Melbourne, bringing the finest amber drops to the iconic marketplace. Guest breweries include Brewmanity, Hop Nation, Two Birds Brewing, Stomping Ground and Coldstream Brewery. Each brewery will showcase their own favourite beers, seasonal and experimental brews, plus Coldstream will be offering cider.

As well as slinging frothies, Central Beer District will be offering guests the best of BBQ and street food from various food trucks to pair with each brew so you can munch on the likes of twelve-hour pulled pork with pineapple relish and lime mayo and BBQ chicken burgers with fennel yoghurt.

This pop-up environment gives beer lovers the chance to meet the brewers behind the beer and hear first-hand about how their favourite beverages came to be. There’s also a huge array of live music to keep you company, with a lineup including ’50s and ’60s rock’n’roll with Jukebox Racket, folk and indie pop with Jack the Fox and Chicago blues from Jules Boult.
