Watch ‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ flash mob

Saturday just gone, hundreds of Cathies of all ages and genders gathered at Edinburgh Gardens of ‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ to re-enact Kate Bush’s iconic song and dance in billowing red costumes exactly 40 years after the original’s release.

It was the third year in a row for Melbournians, Victorians and visitors participating in the event, dancing for the joy of it, like no-one’s watching.

The event makes a stunning impact thanks to Katherine Brandenberger who is the organiser and creator of the mass-produced costumes which makes the Melbourne event stand out with hundreds in identical outfits.

This year’s event even featured a performance from Kate Finkelstein, taken from her show This Woman’s Work: The Songs of Kate Bush.

Melbourne’s ‘Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ is a not-for-profit event supporting the Safe Steps and the Alannah and Madeline Foundations through a crowd-funder. If you’d like to donate, they are less than $100 away from their goal at the time of writing, just click this link.

If you missed the event in person, here’s a video of the flash mob for you to enjoy.
