Ska Nation will bring some of the best ska-centric acts to a small regional town called Warrion.
The lineup for a massive ska music festival has just been announced. After hosting their 2020 event at The Espy in March just before COVID struck – an event which saw American ska luminaries Mustard Plug perform, Ska Nation is taking to Warrion in 2021, two hours out of Melbourne.

Taking place from Friday October 29 to Sunday October 31, Ska Nation 2021 is not only the first time it’ll be outside of Melbourne, but the first time it will be truly outside.
Just 20 minutes out of Colac, the festival will be nestled between dormant volcanoes and golden plains farms on an acre of countryside behind the 150-year-old Ti Tree Hotel.
A new venture for Ska Nation, the festival will celebrate Australia’s vibrant ska scene in all its glory. Of the top, the lineup will be headed by The Bennies. One of music’s most versatile bands, The Bennies’ music spans everything from psychedelic to reggae, doom, metal, punk rock and ska.
Ska Nation are also bringing ANTY!, a Bennies side project described as “the Gorillaz meets Bennies hybrid you didn’t know you needed in your life”.
Other artists to appear will showcase the dexterity of ska, with traditional big bands like The Isolators co-existing with House Arrest’s third wave ska punk and more rocksteady-influenced bands such as Ska Vendors.
A camping festival also providing glamping options, Ska Nation will be complemented by markets and food trucks. The festival will swing open its gates at 5pm on Friday October 29, with bands starting from 8pm. There will also be shuttles running from Colac railway station from those taking public transport from Melbourne.
