Following the passing of Tom Petty last year, the iconic singer will be paid tribute with a huge boxset of previously unreleased live and studio material, featuring 60 tracks by Petty as well as a handful of covers by select artists.
The box set, titled An American Treasure, was curated by Petty’s wife and daughter with the help of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers bandmate Mike Campbell and longtime studio collaborator Ryan Ulate.
An American Treasure is set for release in September and will be accompanied by the release of a more succinct, less expensive two-disk CD.
