A stunning Cherry Blossom Festival is happening in the Yarra Valley next month

Cherry Blossom Festival

The annual Blossom Festival is set to descend on Cherryhill Orchards for two weeks this Spring.

If chasing cherry blossoms in Tokyo has been on your bucket list, the CherryHill Blossom Festival might just be the perfect event for you this Spring.

Yarra Valley’s premiere cherry producer, CherryHill Orchards will once again welcome visitors to the stunning CherryHill Blossom Festival where guests can wander through endless rows of gorgeous cherry blossoms, sip on cherry-based drinks, enjoy delicious cherry ice-cream, live music and activities for the whole family.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here

Running from September 17 to October 2 after a two-year hiatus, the festival provides the perfect excuse to hit the road for the day and immerse yourself in the magical sight of millions of blossoms in bloom, take in the fragrantly sweet fresh air and soak up the gorgeous views of the Yarra Valley at CherryHill Orchards.

New to the festival, The Posh Palais will be offering guests a unique picnic experience immersed in the blossoming cherry orchard. Guests can pre-book a Luxury Picnic Experience – the most leisurely and picturesque way to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival in style, with a fully catered food and beverage package.

Alternatively, guests can enjoy a divine Mid-Week Wine & Dine lunch at renowned, Rochford Wines followed by a visit to the Blossom Festival. For the more romantically inclined, there is also an option to watch the sunrise in a hot air balloon over the Yarra Valley with Global Ballooning, followed by a relaxing morning amongst the blossoms.

While you’ll no doubt spend a lot of your time amongst the orchards taking selfies, families will also be able to make the most of the school holidays with hands-on workshops, including creating flower crowns with, Under the Ivy, using traditional floristry techniques among an abundance of flowers, or learning about the importance of bees to Australian eco-system and how they help our environment with local bee expert Holly Hale. There are also opportunities to make your own candles or learn photography tips from the Nikon experts so you can leave with some stunning shots.

In a first for the festival, this year is also going be be dog-friendly, so you can bring your fur-baby along to wander through the beautiful blossom, check out market stalls and of course snap a gorgeous photo of them, and with them in the blossom! Entry for dogs is free but an entry ticket is still required for you and your buddy.

If you’re looking to get out of town and take in some natural beauty (beauty that’s only around for a small period of time each year), the CherryHill Orchard’s Blossom Festival is a must.

CherryHill Blossom Festival takes place 17th September-2nd October 2022 at CherryHill Orchards in Wandin East. Find out more here
