A pop-up 130-metre zipline across the Yarra is coming to Melbourne this summer

Melbourne zipline

It’s time to fly across the city on a pop-up sky-high adventure.

Returning for 2022 after a wildly successful first run last year, Firefly Zipline Melbourne is bringing back the first-ever zipline over a body of water in Australia this summer. The pop-up will land in Melbourne on December 16 2022 and run through to January 28 2023, gifting all those on summer holidays an epic, heart-stopping quick jump experience.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

For these six weeks, you’ll be able to grab together your most adrenaline-seeking buddies and zoom over Federation Square, over the Yarra and into Alexandra Gardens at a whopping 40 km per hour on a 130-metre zipline.

Better still, it’s a dual-line zip-line, which means you’ll find yourself nine meters up into the heavens alongside someone just as adventurous as you. First date idea? I think yes.

This crazy adventure is available to everyone, including children. Kiddies under 18 will need a guardian to sign a waiver and little kiddies under 12 need a parent or guardian to accompany them on the zipline.

If that wasn’t enough, this year they’ve added to the fun with a new Quick Jump experience! For those that want to know what free falling feels like WITHOUT jumping from a plane, this is the adrenaline rush for you! You’ll *safely* plummet 12m’s to the ground, fully harnessed the whole time!

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 16, so don’t walk, don’t run, ZOOM onto the website here to grab your tickets quick.
