Persecution Blues was filmed over seven years and covers the passion, politics, protests and punk that’s boiled over at The Tote, diving head first into the fight to save rock and roll in Melbourne when the hotel was forced to close by unfair laws in 2010.

The film depicts the struggle of more than 20,000 fans who banded together to have their voices heard, putting the audience on the front line of a counter-cultural struggle that’s gone down in the history books.

As part of the screening, a never-before-seen 2008 live set from Eddy Current Suppression Ring will also be shown – showcasing the band at their most visceral.
