Working to bridge the gap between the UK’s dance scene, Detroit techno and Chicago house as well, his stylistic versatility has ensured his enduring influence – with dudes like Frankie Knuckles, Goldie, Finley Quaye and Derrick May through to Herbie Hancock all demanding to collaborate with him.
