Victoria audiences are to be prepared as this is the boys’ only state stop on the national tour as their first A Day On The Green tour with demand set to be hot to see the acclaimed songwriters. Their latest album The Winding Way debuted at number one on the ARIA album charts and earned them a win at the ARIA Awards for Best Blues and Roots Album, and Best Record at this year’s Rolling Stone Australia Awards. Not only that but the album’s success has also earned the songwriting partnership of Sam and Josh Teskey recognition, recently winning the prestigious Songwriter Of The Year Award at last month’s APRA Music Awards.

These A Day On The Green shows will be their only shows back in Australia but it will be well worth it as they bring national and international friends and musical mastery as they are joined by very special guests Band Of Horses, Sierra Ferrell, CMAT and Charlie Needs Braces.

It’s been a long wait between drinks with Band of Horses with their last Australian appearance in 2016, a decade after their mammoth debut Everything All The Time which brought us tracks The Funeral, Our Swords and The Great Salt Lake. Australian audiences are yet to see their 2022 album Things Are Great live which crushed in with single Crutch. These A Day On The Green appearances are sure to make fans of Band of Horses happy.

Along for the ride is Sierra Ferrell who sold out shows around the country during her 2022 tour. Currently on tour with country superstar Zach Bryan, Ferrell is making a mark on the country music scene and has been heavily praised for her live shows. Also making waves in the country music sector is CMAT. The charismatic Irish singer-songwriter has become a disrupter earning superfans like A Day On The Green alumni Elton John and Robbie Williams. Having received nominations at the BRIT Awards and Ivor Novella Award for Best Album, CMAT is bound to put on a show. The final addition to the already stacked lineup is Melbourne singer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Needs Braces.

Josh Teskey says of the 2025 A Day On The Green return, “After many months on tour overseas we are excited to be bringing the show home for this very special A Day On The Green run in January. To make it a full day’s affair, it’s a huge thrill to be bringing together some of our favourite acts from around the world. Honoured to be joined by the epic Band of Horses, Nashville legend Sierra Ferrell, always excited to see CMAT and our local favourite Charlie Needs Braces. Come join us for what will be a beautiful day on the green!”
