Summer Jam slam dunks into St Kilda this February, celebrating 13 years of basketball and culture.
St Kilda’s Peanut Farm Reserve will make way for Australia’s biggest and most iconic basketball festival, Summer Jam, in the new year. The three-day festival will bounce into Melbourne from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 February, pairing the nation’s most decorated players and international teams to play high-energy competitions. Adding to the festival feel, there will be live music, streetwear activations and all things hoops culture.

Summer Jam comes to life thanks to global basketball culture leaders Jordan Brand and Foot Locker, growing exponentially across 13 years. The now globally recognised event attracts top professional basketball athletes from across Australia and international teams including Japan and New Zealand who shoot it out for the title of Streetball Champions and the cash prize of $20,000.
The streetball event will encompass the culture that has been birthed out of basketball with brands and movements becoming synonymous with the sport. From streetwear, hoops culture, live music to art, Summer Jam marries all of the elements of streetball under the one umbrella whilst elevating it for the ultimate block party.

Men’s and Women’s 5v5 Championship Games
The main streetball showcase is back. Witness the country’s best players go head-to-head wearing the latest Jordan Brand performance innovation, for the ultimate bragging rights and a $20,000 cash prize, making this one of the most sought-after tournaments in the streetball world.
U21 Championship and Wheelchair Championship
The next generation of groundbreaking hoop talent and barrier-breaking basketball players will be on show during the U21 Championship and the Wheelchair Championship respectively. Get a taste of the talent that is emerging from the streets and experience the thrilling skills of the wheelchair division.
National Slam Dunk Contest
You can’t have a streetball competition without showing off a little. That’s where the National Slam Dunk Contest comes into play. Australia’s top dunkers will go head-to-head for a shot at advancing to the prestigious World Dunk Contest. With some of the world’s greatest dunkers flying in, this contest promises jaw-dropping feats of athleticism and creativity.
Creator Cup
Australia’s top content creators will battle it out in the inaugural Creators Cup, competing for the spotlight and recognition in this exciting new addition to the festival. More details are to be revealed soon.
Emerging Artist Performances
Beats and B-ball are the best combination and Summer Jam is bringing the best. Experience a musical showcase spotlighting the best up-and-coming hip-hop talents from across the region, bringing the sounds of Melbourne and beyond to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
Cultural Experiences
The festival grounds will be alive with diverse cultural offerings, from food trucks serving a variety of global flavours to DJ sets creating the perfect soundtrack for the day. Expect NBA 2K gaming stations, open-air bars, and a Jam Eating Contest for those looking to indulge. Other immersive experiences include interactive basketball zones, a barbershop, tattoo shop, braid bar, and gym competitions.
