The Winter Night Market is back for 2018

Winter in the city means rainy days, lots of layers and a temperature that rarely gets above 15 degrees, but it also means the return of the Winter Night Market, from June 6 to August 29.

As usual, Queen Victoria Market will host over 30 food and drink stalls, 50 speciality stores and a rotating round-up of performers and live music every Wednesday between 5pm-10pm, transforming into a bustling mid-week respite from the cold.

You’ll be able to enjoy some classics like churro bowls from Churro Kitchen, That’s Amore pasta from the parmesan wheel, and warming paella from Simply Spanish, as well as new offerings like African-style fish and chips from Tribal Tastes Whole Foods, and Just Falafs with vegan and vegetarian fare.

There’ll also be plenty of booze to warm-up your insides, including ReWine with their spicy mulled vino, as well as hot apple cider from Cold Stream Brewery.

One new addition to this year’s market is the Book Nook, where you’ll be able to browse new and second-hand novels, pre-loved records and meet Victorian-based authors.
