The Harpoons at ACCA

Melbourne four-piece The Harpoons are all set to bring their catchy and jubilant ‘60s pop tunes inside the iconic walls of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art.

When fans are finished dancing to the band’s melodic and soul-filled sound, they can walk amongst the works of renowned Irish installation artist, Gerard Byrne, and educate themselves on contemporary art.

Don’t miss out on some of Melbourne’s best local music in one of our city’s finest art galleries, kicking off from 6pm.

Her Sound, Her Story: Exhibition Opening Night

Missed out on tickets to the sold-out event of the same name? Check out the complimentary exhibition to ease the pain.

Opening its doors to the public, Her Sound, Her Story is the product of photographer Michelle Grace Hunder and filmmaker Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore that features intimate profiles of over 40 women working in Australia’s exciting music industry.

Live at the Steps: The Jungle Giants + Aunty Donna

Catch the best established and up-and-coming talent in Australia’s already explosive music scene where you’d least expect it: the steps of Parliament House.

Sunny indie pop darlings The Jungle Giants and funny guys Aunty Donna headline the all-ages event, while rapper Philly and this year’s triple j Unearthed winner Gretta Ray follow up on stage.

Best of all? It’s totally free. Get down to Parliament House from 5pm.

Sun Sets: Chelsea Wilson + Mzrizk

Sun Sets will present Melbourne’s most compelling local musicians to help you groove away the day’s hardships come dusk.

Vocalist, songwriter, DJ, and broadcaster Chelsea Wilson, who hosts PBS radio’s ‘Jazz Got Soul’ and curates the Women of Soul series, is bound to play some sweet tunes while Melburnian DJ, event curator, and radio presenter MzRizk will bring her own vibes to the State Library forecourt.

Don’t miss out on this free event, kicking off 6.30pm at the State Library Forecourt.
