This Brisbane producer has been road-testing his heaviest sounds overseas. Now it's Nerve's turn.
Ali James has been road-testing his hard techno overseas, and on 23 October he’s unleashing the results on Nerve Club.
The Brisbane artist’s take on the genre is a hybrid one, blending psytrance, hard dance and pounding kicks into peak-time euphoria. Ali James has released music through Restricted’s Revive label and is signed to Teletech JINN Agency.
He also has a Europe tour under his belt and a collaboration with Sara Landry that has racked up 300,000 streams across platforms.

During 2024, his productions picked up co-signs from Nico Moreno, Charlie Sparks and Paula Temple.
On the live front, Ali James has shared line-ups with DNP, Tham and Oposition at some of the country’s busiest events, so he’s arriving with plenty of stage time behind him.
The night runs across two rooms, so there’s a couple of different vibes on offer.
Upstairs, the rooftop is all about house and tech house, while the main room is where the hard bounce and hard techno live.
Ali James is the one the night is built around, with JUJU222, Bickeez, Alcatrax and JBART rounding out the support slots.
