Pitch Music & Arts unveils a 60-plus lineup for its 10th birthday

Words by staff writer

A decade in, Pitch Music & Arts has unveiled a 2027 lineup loaded with techno heavyweights and Pitch debutants.

The festival returns to the foothills of Gariwerd from 5-9 March 2027, with Dutch DJ and producer CHRIS STASSY sitting at the top of the international billing. He makes his way back to Australia off debut album Lost, Found & Forgotten. Swiss artist Chlär, who runs the Primal Instinct imprint, joins French producer SWEELY, Canadian selector Peach and Germany’s CLOUDY on the bill. Patrick Mason rounds out the upper tier with his blend of techno and house.

Australian names carry serious weight at Pitch Music & Arts this time around. London-based HAAi is back following DIGITiSE, while X CLUB. take two separate sets, hauling techno, breakbeat, jungle and trance across both.

DJ BORING plays ahead of his debut album Radio Silence, and Kia, Connor Wall, Aldonna and Reptant all step onto a Pitch stage for the first time. Scottish duo Clouds also debut, Denis Sulta returns after his 2019 closing set, and Berlin’s Malugi arrives with a BBC Radio 1 Future Star nod from 2025 behind him.

Three custom-built stages host the programme again: Pitch One, the Resident Advisor Stage and Pitch Black, with the Sunrise Set back for the anniversary run. The Rock Pool and Pitch Pavilion both return, and Anna Nalpantidis stays on as arts curator for a second straight year after last year’s ninth edition.

Takeovers land across the main stages from Bitter Ivy, Chuleo Club, Hide The Junk and Ultraviolet, with Mob Ties, of the Essence, Radio Cazimi, Solace Radio, The Breakfast Club and World Dance running the Rock Pool. Elsewhere on the bill sit Brazilian producer Clementaum, Chicago’s Hiroko Yamamura, Georgian artist Yanamaste, plus Clara Cuvé, Verraco, Colin Benders, Main Phase, dj sweet6teen and Fafi Abdel Nour. Local additions include Wax’o Paradiso, Soju Gang, Kuzco, Moopie b2b Miki, Tangerine and YESNA.

Entry comes as two, three and four-day passes, all including general camping. Premium Camp, Pre-Pitched and Glamping upgrades sit alongside carpooling packages and coach transport from Melbourne and Ararat. Afterpay, Zip Pay and Laybuy kick in from presale. A Pitch Collective presale for returning punters opens earlier, at 6pm AEDT on 26 October. The festival comes from Untitled Group, the independent outfit behind Beyond The Valley, Wildlands and Ability Fest.
