Grammy-nominated LA producer TOKiMONSTA is heading to Australia this May for a three-date run along the east coast.
TOKiMONSTA will open the tour at Sydney Opera House Studio on 27 May as part of Vivid Sydney, before heading north to Brightside Outdoors in Brisbane on 28 May. The run wraps up at The Night Cat in Melbourne on 29 May.
A central figure in the LA beat movement that emerged in the early 2010s, TOKiMONSTA has spent more than a decade carving out a sound that pulls from house, hip hop, R&B and experimental production. The Los Angeles-based artist has amassed over 400 million streams worldwide and ranks among DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs globally. She also founded her own imprint, Young Art Records, back in 2014.

Her seventh studio album, Eternal Reverie, dropped on 7 March 2025 via Young Art Records. The 14-track record features contributions from Anderson .Paak, Gavin Turek, Cakes Da Killa and Kaelin Ellis, weaving deep house grooves with soulful vocal turns and experimental textures across 45 minutes.
Over her career, TOKiMONSTA has worked with a wide-ranging roster of artists including EARTHGANG, ZHU, Yuna and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Her remixes of tracks by David Bowie, Sia, Disclosure and Odesza have further solidified her reputation as one of electronic music’s most versatile producers. She was the first female Asian American producer to earn a Grammy nomination in the best dance/electronic album category, for her 2017 record Lune Rouge.
In late 2015, TOKiMONSTA was diagnosed with Moyamoya, a rare cerebral vascular condition, and underwent two brain surgeries that temporarily stripped her of the ability to speak or comprehend music. Her recovery and subsequent return to performing and releasing music has become an integral part of her artistic identity.
The Australian dates mark a return to intimate venues for the producer, who has previously spoken about the value of smaller rooms and deeper audience connection. Expect a set that moves between dancefloor energy and something more introspective.
