Under the Stars 2026 brings Mitch Tambo and Little Quirks to Packer Park for a free summer celebration.

Under the Stars 2026 returns to Packer Park, Melbourne on Saturday 21 February with Mitch Tambo and Little Quirks.

Australian world music powerhouse Mitch Tambo headlines the evening, weaving traditional Aboriginal sounds with contemporary beats that hit different.

A proud Gamilaraay man, Tambo’s music cuts across cultures and generations like nothing else. His debut album Guurrama-Li smashed iTunes world music charts globally, while his Gamilaraay-language rendition of You’re the Voice made history with over one million streams. His live show is electric, having lit up iconic stages around the world, and he continues to move audiences through music, storytelling and cultural pride.

Joining him are Central Coast trio Little Quirks, who’ve been making music together literally their entire lives. Their indie-folk sound explodes with infectious energy, luminous harmonies and folk-pop hooks you won’t shake for days, their live shows leave absolutely nothing in the tank.

Melbourne Pride Chorus adds serious sparkle to the night. This pioneering LGBTQIA+ choir has been celebrating pride, joy and queer creativity through musical excellence since 1990. MC Janet keeps everything rolling; you’ll know her from trivia nights across the city, ABC Radio’s Overnights, or her gig hosting Storytime at State Library Victoria.

Grab your crew, pack a picnic or hit up the food trucks, and settle in for an evening of live music under the open sky. The whole thing’s free, recommended for everyone, and honestly one of the best ways to spend a summer Saturday night.

Summer evenings at Packer Park just hit right, especially when the soundtrack spans First Nations contemporary world music to indie-folk perfection. Whether you’re here for the headliners or ready to discover something new, Under the Stars 2026 delivers music, community and culture in one stellar package.
