Flow Music and Psychedelic Bush Disco bring Berlin-based producer Nhii to New Guernica for his Collingwood debut this Friday.
Nhii’s approach to electronic music refuses to stay in one lane, blending deep rhythms with organic textures drawn from diverse cultural traditions. His productions move between melodic house and world-infused electronica, guided more by emotion and atmosphere than any genre rulebook. Making his first Melbourne appearance on Friday 23 January, Nhii will be joined by Berlin’s HOVR, Amsterdam’s Deep Ghosh and local selector The Huntress in Collingwood.
Flow Music from Byron Bay and Melbourne’s Psychedelic Bush Disco have joined forces to bring a night focused on immersive, cross-cultural sounds where the dancefloor becomes a shared journey rather than just another Friday night out.

What makes this night stand out is the calibre of selectors bringing genuine global perspectives to the booth. Nhii has released on some of electronic music’s most respected labels, building a reputation for sets that work equally well on packed dancefloors and in intimate listening sessions. His sound pulls from global influences without falling into the tokenistic world music trappings that plague so much electronic music.
HOVR, a nonbinary multi-instrumentalist from Berlin, brings a classical music education into collision with rave culture. With hundreds of performances worldwide including multiple Burning Man sets, HOVR’s approach ranges from eyes-closed grooves to uplifting powerhouse moments, always centred on building community and creating space for free expression.
Deep Ghosh, Flow Music’s resident DJ and curator, has spent years connecting scenes across continents through desert gatherings and global touring. Expect emotional house, soulful percussion and bold vocal-led moments that pull from a truly eclectic record collection shaped by constant movement.
Melbourne’s own The Huntress rounds out the lineup with cinematic soundscapes, deep grooves and primal basslines. Her sets carry an intensity and mystery that’s been making waves in the local scene, bringing a powerful feminine energy that moves rooms from within rather than simply commanding them from the booth.
