Where will Sugar Mountain be held?

Sugar Mountain is heading back to its roots for 2026, returning to the Melbourne CBD after exploring various venues over the years. The Paddock is a hidden gem tucked between Fed Square, Birrarung Marr and the train tracks, offering an urban oasis vibe right in the city’s heart.

Accessibility is a major plus with this location. Close to Flinders Street Station and surrounded by the city’s transport network, getting to and from the event will be easier than ever. It’s a return to where it all began for Sugar Mountain, bringing the festival full circle.

The signature stage returns

Sugar Mountain’s 360-degree stage format remains a defining feature of the event. Since pioneering this setup in Australia back in 2014, the team has spent years refining the experience. It’s about immersion, putting the crowd at the centre of the action and creating an environment where the music surrounds you completely.

This stage design has become synonymous with Sugar Mountain’s identity, offering something distinctly different from traditional festival setups. Expect that same energy and innovation to carry through to The Paddock.

The Sugar Mountain lineup

Danilo Plessow, better known as Motor City Drum Ensemble (MCDE), is an influential figure whose sets expertly blend house, disco, funk and soul. Renowned for his exceptional musical knowledge and technical wizardry behind the turntables, the German producer has been a fixture in underground dance clubs worldwide since the late 2000s.

Tiga brings decades of electronic music mastery to the stage. The Montreal-born artist has remixed everyone from LCD Soundsystem to Depeche Mode, and his Turbo label has launched careers for artists like Chromeo and Gesaffelstein. His sets balance underground techno with a pop sensibility that’s made him a respected tastemaker in North American house and techno.

Chilean DJ and producer Paula Tape is known for her percussion-driven, polyrhythmic electronic music that blends classic house with Balearic influences. Her distinct style keeps dancefloors engaged with eclectic selections and synth-heavy rarities.

Melbourne-born Pretty Girl brings her emotive dance music to life in captivating live sets. The producer, vocalist and DJ weaves house, UKG and techno with delicate vocals, creating deeply personal productions that resonate on dancefloors and beyond.

Vienna-born, Manchester-based producer Salute draws from the full spectrum of club music. Their productions carry a sense of longing and melancholy while sparkling with energy, euphoria and emotion, making them one of the most exciting names in contemporary dance music.

Baby G is a DJ and producer from Aotearoa, now based in Naarm. Her selections are guided by her experience as a drummer and musician, blending droning bass and hypnotic textures with driving percussion and electro-infused sequences. Her captivating, mysterious sets navigate through shifting tempos and rhythms, landing her on lineups at Pitch Music and Arts, Hopkins Creek, Strawberry Fields and Beyond The Valley.

Perth-based Wongi man Yikes is a multitalented DJ, producer and radio presenter known for his deep, broken and percussive sounds, effortlessly gliding through genres while holding down the legendary Friday’s Full Frequency slot on RTRFM.

Where to get tickets?

Sugar Mountain tickets historically move fast, and this year will be no different. With the new CBD location making the event more accessible than ever, demand is expected to be high.

Presale kicks off Thursday 13 November at 11am, with general tickets available Friday 14 November at 11am. Set your alarms, because these won’t stick around.

Sugar Mountain 2026 marks an exciting new chapter for one of Melbourne’s most beloved electronic music events. Returning to the CBD, maintaining its signature stage format and bringing together an exceptional lineup of artists, it’s shaping up to be an unmissable day on the summer calendar.
