The Prosecco Festival is set to pop its cork for an eighth consecutive year, transforming Abbotsford Convent into a sparkling wine lover's paradise on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
In its most ambitious iteration yet, the annual Prosecco Festival will showcase more than 50 varieties of the Italian-style sparkling, featuring drops from both international and local producers.
Heavy-hitting Italian labels including Babo, Bandini, and Cipriani will share the spotlight with Australian favourites such as Dal Zotto Wines, Brown Brothers and De Bortoli.

Festival organizers have embraced inclusivity for 2025, partnering with Edenvale Wines to offer alcohol-removed options for non-drinking attendees. Van Di Vino will also be slinging prosecco spritzers and craft beers throughout the day.
The food lineup reads like a who’s who of Melbourne’s Italian scene, with Abruzzo Lab bringing their signature arrosticini, while Il Panzerotto Taste of Puglia and Arancini Art serve up authentic street food. Sweet tooths haven’t been forgotten, with Yummy Cannoli on hand to satisfy dessert cravings.
For those seeking to deepen their prosecco knowledge, self-styled “Prosecco Queen” Melissa Brauer will host exclusive masterclasses, offering guided tastings of four distinct styles paired with antipasto and cheese.
Adding extra fizz to this year’s proceedings, organizers have announced a 90s theme, complete with new wave bangers and retro vibes. Session two ticket holders can kick on at the Oratory for an after-party running until 10:30pm.
The festival runs two sessions (11am-3pm and 4:30pm-8:30pm), with tickets including a Plumm sparkling wine glass, festival program and tote bag. With previous years selling out, prosecco enthusiasts are advised to secure tickets early via Eventbrite.
