Conceived from a love of orchestration and sample-based music, Evan Bassani ventured to create music that would appeal to new audiences while maintaining a heavy focus on song writing and arrangements. The result is “Crump Cake”, a 10 piece ensemble that has sounds as reminiscent and diverse as Roy Ayers, Duke Ellington, Focus, J-Dilla as well as many others. Expect powerful horn arrangements, a super funky rhythm section, and sprinklings of electronic influences throughout.
