Get ready to giggle as Comedy in the Vines makes its highly-anticipated return to Mitchelton Wines in Nagambie, Victoria, from November 8 to 10.

This vibrant three-day Comedy In The Vines festival promises a delightful mix of world-class comedy, gourmet food, music, podcasts, camping and of course, exceptional wine, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Nagambie region.

Presented by Merrick Watts’ production company, Grapes of Mirth, Comedy in the Vines is back with an even more impressive lineup than last year.

The festival will feature international comedy stars such as the United Kingdom’s Jen Brister and Lloyd Langford, New Zealand’s Melanie Bracewell and Australia’s own comedic talent, including Joel Creasey, Mel Buttle, Alex Ward, Gillian Cosgriff, Rove McManus and Dave Thornton.

These top-tier comedians are set to deliver an unparalleled comedy experience, making this the largest-ever comedy lineup in regional Australia.

Jen Brister, known for her electrifying stage presence and razor-sharp wit, will headline the festival with her Australian exclusive performance.

International talents Lloyd Langford and Melanie Bracewell will bring their unique perspectives to the stage, while Gillian Cosgriff and others like Nick Cody, Alex Ward, Lou Wall, Luke Heggie and Brett Blake ensure a diverse and laughter-packed lineup.

For those interested in a comedic twist on wine education, Merrick Watts will present An Idiot’s Guide to Wine – Nagambie Edition, a hilarious take on wine tasting.

Ethan Cavanagh and Sweeney Preston will bring their hit show In Pour Taste, and Nick Capper and Brett Blake will entertain with their Top Gun-themed beer-drinking show, Brew Dudes.

Food enthusiasts will be thrilled by a gourmet lineup led by renowned pit master Adam Roberts, who will showcase his In The Wine of Fire event — a lavish eight-course feast paired with local wines. Limited to only 100 tickets, this exclusive Sunday event promises a culinary experience like no other.

Also featured is Colin Fassnidge’s Chaos Comedy Class, where comedians compete to impress in a cooking challenge.

The festival will offer a diverse selection of local wines, a quirky hearse-turned-beer-tap from Shepparton Brewery and the sophisticated Nagambie Gin Bar. The world’s first Oyster and Riesling Shot Bar will also debut, serving up oysters paired with Nagambie Rieslings.

Additionally, Merrick Watts’ Mini Wine Marathon — a 5km run through picturesque vineyards with wine tastings every kilometre — provides a fun and unique way to experience the region’s offerings.

With a range of podcasts and special events, including shows like I’m the Worst with Claire Hooper and Mid-Flight Brawl with Luke Heggie and Nick Cody, there’s truly something for everyone at Comedy in the Vines.

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said it best: “It doesn’t get much better than Comedy in the Vines – rolling vineyards, great laughs, delicious food and local Victorian wine.”
