The four-month-long gig series will bring live events to venues like The Retreat, Rubix Warehouse, Stay Gold, Coburg RSL and Woodlands Hotel enabling them to book bigger names and cheaper gigs throughout the spring and into summer. There’ll be monthly Family Jams at Brunswick Ballroom, intimate gigs at Nicholson St’s Feminista Vinyl, plus an epic Operatives label launch at Howler just to name a few.
It will all be orchestrated by the team behind Brunswick Music Festival, and there’ll be a bunch of interesting pop-up events – keep your eyes peeled for announcements like an outdoor event at Coburg Lake, or a show at the new Glenroy Library.
“I can’t wait for Resonate to take the stage and bring the music to Moreland. The festival will see our municipality pumping with tunes in support of local musicians, venues and hospitality businesses,” Moreland mayor Mark Riley said.
“Whether you’re a fan of Aussie rock, hip-hop or jazz, there will be gigs that appeal to everyone with events taking place from Brunswick to Glenroy.
“I thank the Victorian government for funding Resonate, which has enabled us to support one of Melbourne’s most important live music precincts. Resonate will shine the spotlight on a range of diverse acts including artists including First Nations musicians, gender diverse artists and performers from a range of cultures and nationalities.”
