Jimmy Barnes, Missy Higgins, Daryl Braithwaite and more announced for new Victorian concert series

The eight-day concert series will bring legendary Australian artists to venues across the state.

Visit Victoria and Mushroom Group have partnered up to reignite tourism and the live music industry with an eight-day concert series. Titled ‘2021 Sounds Better Together’, the initiative will bring some of the country’s biggest musicians to iconic stages all over the state.

Running from Saturday January 23 until Saturday January 30, 2021 Sounds Better Together will feature performances at venues in the Surf Coast, Yarra Valley, Rutherglen and Mallacoota, with more shows to be announced.

It kicks off this weekend with concerts at both Mt Duneed Estate in Waurn Ponds, featuring Tones and I, Missy Higgins, Gordi and Didirri, and Rochford Wines, Coldstream, with Jimmy Barnes, The Teskey Brothers and Vika & Linda.

On Monday January 25, Jimmy Barnes will join Daryl Braithwaite and Deborah Conway at All Saints Estate, Wahgunyah while Saturday January 30 will welcome James Reyne, Daryl Braithwaite, Vika & Linda and Mia Wray to Mallacoota Oval, Mallacoota.

“The 2021 Sound’s Better Together series will get musicians back on stage and help people enjoy a great night out, supporting communities across the state,” said Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, Martin Pakula.

“It’s another part of the extensive support we’ve provided to the tourism, creative and major events industries, which had a very challenging year last year.”

“Our music industry supports thousands of jobs and injects millions into our economy, and we’re helping the sector get back on track,” he said.
