Crap Music Rave Party is taking a different approach with its latest instalment. This time asking us all to channel our inner Aerobics class goer – from the 1980s. You can request any song from the ‘80s as long as it’s tacky. This rave reaches Melbourne’s Gasometer on Saturday April 28.

DJ Tomás Ford is prepared to pump ‘80s radio jams all night long. Not to mention his hyperactive antics, costume changes and visual effects. So, start making a list of your favourite tacky pop songs from Bananrama, Duran Duran, Foreigner, George Michael, Hall & Oates, INXS, John Farnham, Kylie Minogue, New Kids on the Block, Pat Benetar, Queen and Tina Turner.

With an ‘80s costume competition, dance-off that are both optional at this must jump on the dancefloor event.

“This is gonna go off like the nightclub from Terminator,” says Ford. “Things are gonna get as loose as the Foot Clan’s clubhouse from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as glamorous as Xanadu.”
