Will Hyde

The moody Melburnian singer-songwriter is on the verge of momentous mainstream success, but he's willing to go into deeply personal territory to get there.

Melbourne’s Will Hyde (stylised will hyde) has already had huge success as one half of electronic producer duo SŸDE, becoming a finalist of  triple j Unearthed in 2017 and going on to garner over 65 million streams as part of the project.

Now as a solo artist, will hyde has quickly made a name for himself as a rising talent with an ever growing fan base across both Australia and the United States. Following worldwide praise on previous two singles ‘boy.’ and ‘our neighbors’ 22 year-old will hyde has today revealed his new single ‘fukced up’.

The dramatic new single is the third song released throughout 2021 from the prolific singer/songwriter and is another taste from his upcoming EP ‘nothing ever changes’ announced for release on Friday 10th of December.

‘fukced up’ dives deep into vulnerability and introspection with lyrical themes touching on mood swings, the meaning of life and putting up a strong front while “not wanting to let people down” without drowning. Released alongside a new music video that flows on from his previous two, will continue his journey of growth and introspection from the blissfulness of childhood, navigating relationships and grappling with his thoughts and emotions as well as the frustration of isolation and the way it forces you to reflect.

Speaking on the release, will shares that “I wrote fukced up in a time when I was constantly feeling mood swings & unstable. However you’re feeling is okay. Sit with it and take the time to breathe for a second. Particularly in the Western world, there are so many pressures to do things: whether it’s getting a job, making money or doing something that gives you purpose. I think sometimes we just need to take a step back.”
