What do you reckon people will say you sound like ?
Hall and Oates meets Chic.
What do you love about making music?
The look of sheer joy on a fan’s face while they’re jumping up and down in a packed room, singing a song you wrote in your bedroom (sound a bit corny but it’s true!!).
What do you hate about the music industry?
The haircuts.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
It’d be Mikey Jackson a year or so before Thriller. I’d try and get one of my songs on that album. I’d be set for life!
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it be and why?
I’d kill Elton John in the mid 80s to preserve his legacy.
What can a punter expect from your live show?
If the last few shows are anything to go by, a packed room full of beautiful people dancing like maniacs.
What’ve you got to sell CD-wise
We’ve released two EPs: Love Yachts Geronimo and Hey! It’s the Vaudeville Smash. We’ve just recorded a double A-side with production guru John Castle who did albums for Washington and The Bamboos.
When’s the gig and with who?
Well, there’s the launch at the Corner on Saturday September 24 featuring the Vaudeville Smash Orchestra which is made up of some of Australia’s finest classical musicians. It’s gonna be epic! If you can’t wait until then though, we’re playing the Espy front bar this Saturday August 20.
