Define your genre in five words or less:

Unrestrained, fervid, blazing, psychedelic, rock.

Which band would you most like to have a battle/showdown with?
Earthless or Comets on Fire. They are big contemporary influences on the band. Older ones would be Pink Floyd, Sabbath, Hendrix or Cream.

What part of making music excites you the most?

Starting with an idea and hearing it unfold and develop into places we haven’t been before. All three of us have things we are good at when it comes to writing our songs and it’s great when these helps the song to develop. We all listen to crazy and varied stuff so we can draw on a vast range of ideas. We tend to blend things together that at first may not make sense but they soon lead the way to a finished product that works.

So, someone is walking past as you guys are playing, they then go get a beer and tell their friend about you… what do they say?

The guitarist shreds, the drummer goes nuts and the bass player sometimes makes weird sounds on a light theremin and other stuff. And they jump around and swing their guitars a lot.

What can a punter expect from your live show?

Sweat, riffs and I always get neck injuries.

Do you have any record releases to date? What are they? Where can I get them?

We have a split 7″ with a band from Washington State called Mos Generator and have put out heaps of short run CDs that capture live bits, experimental bits and great rehearsal bits. Album and another single to follow soon… You can get them at Round and Round and Missing Link/Collectors Corner.

When’s the gig and with who?

Tago Mago on Friday December 20. We have a special relationship with Tago and the locals. We are playing two sets because our songs go for a long time.
