The future of free-to-air broadcasting is digital, but for community radio stations like 3RRR, that future is now at risk. Unless the Federal Government commits to giving community digital radio a future in the upcoming budget, vital community stations around the country will be switched off – that’s why they need your help.
If digital community stations are switched off now as a result of this funding cut, where does that leave 3RRR (and community radio in general) when analogue radio is inevitably switched off too?
Next Wednesday March 13, 3RRR will be joining other community stations across Australia for a national day of special programming to highlight the issue. There’ll be a heap of very special on air guests, and fun times, but the goal is to get as many listeners as possible to sign up to the campaign online at committocommunityradio.org.au
But don’t wait for Wednesday, please sign up right now. Any support would be really appreciated.
