The unique festival returns with it’s biggest line up yet.
After a a triumphant return this year following the debacles of 2009, the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival has penned in it’s 2011 return, arguably boasting it’s most impressive line up yet.
A festival of many headliners, the 2011 event will see the return of Atlanta four-piece Deerhunter, following their recent release of the critically acclaimed Halycon Digest. The man with over 500 recorded songs Ariel Marcus Rosenberg aka Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti will also be joined, along with other Australian crowd favourites Les Savy Fav, Holy Fuck and Beach House.
Other internationals joining the boutique festival’s ride will be Menomena, The Antlers, Blonde Redhead, Foals, !!!, Bear in Heaven, Yeasayer, Warpaint, Stornoway, Local Natives, Jenny and Johnny and Two Door Cinema Club.
Iconic local acts Cut Copy, Gotye, Violent Soho, PVT and The Holidays also join the line up, with Cloud Control, Rat vs Possum, World’s End Press rounding out the first announcement.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday October 20 at 9:00am. The 2011 St. Jeromes Laneway Festival rolls into the Footscray Community Arts Centre on Saturday February 5.
