You Am I joins rescheduled UNCAGED lineup as Kingswood, Superjesus drop out

UNCAGED

Melbourne's UNCAGED festival has been rescheduled to Saturday 12 March as there's a couple of major shifts in the headliners.

Tim Rodgers-fronted legendary bands You Am I and Hard Ons are both joining Melbourne’s UNCAGED festival lineup, after previously only being on the list for the Brissie edition. However, Kingswood and The Superjesus have both dropped off the lineup due to scheduling issues.

The festival has moved from January to March, with the Omicron outbreak forcing festivals around the country to move their dates due to staff shortages, travel restrictions and general chaos everywhere.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

  • Melbourne – Saturday 12 March, Reunion Park

  • Brisbane – Sunday 24 April, Eatons Hill (Outdoor & Ballroom) – Anzac Long Weekend

The festival will also serve as a festival farewell to Twelve Foot Ninja frontman, Nik “Kin Etik” Barker who has announced that he is leaving the group at the end of 2022.

They join a line up featuring the who’s who of Australian rock including Wolfmother, Magic Dirt, Killing Heidi, Bodyjar, 28 Days, Tumbleweed, Tex Perkins with his Fat Rubber Band, I Built The Sky, Terra, Wolf & Chain, Ocean Sleeper and more.
