The concert appearance and only Melbourne show, celebrates Rudd’s latest EP, Freedom Sessions, which beautiful blends his unique multi-instrumentalist talents in divine chord and is set to be spectacularly intimate live. The EP follows on from his 2022 Jan Juc Moon, a release signalling 20 years since his debut soul-stirrer To Let.

Xavier Rudd will be joined by ARIA-nominated, multi-award winning songwriter and musicians Emily Wurramara and an exciting new four piece from the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Calypso Cora.

Wurramara will be particular exciting to see as she gears up for her highly anticipated new release. It’s been a wait for new music since her gobsmacking 2018 Milyakburra which received critical acclaim and further skyrocketed her already celebrated career.

Calypso Cora are not to be missed either as the Rudd blood boils to the top. With Rudd’s son Finojet Rudd in the lead singer position, you know this band are set to be stars. Their delicious surf-soaked guitar sounds with indie pop melodies captivates the spirit of good vibes and their catchy tunes draw from Brit rock and ska reggae influences. You’ll be in for a good time all round.

“I’m super excited to bring this show to Australia after all this international touring. It’s my first chance to share this show on home soil after buzzing around America and Europe so it should be pretty slick by then. Let’s do this”, Rudd says.

This concert is the second weekend of the Live At The Gardens series which sees Matt Corby and Middle Kids jump up the week before on Saturday 16 November. It’s brought you by the dedicated team at Roundhouse Entertainment – the juggernauts responsible for A Day On The Green.

Tickets for this incredible lineup of artists in the most spring-soaked setting go on sale Friday 14 June at 11.00am from Ticketmaster. Roundhouse members and Live At The Garden members can take advantage of presale form Thursday 13 June from 10am.
