Known to many as the founding member of alt pop band Frente!, Hart has also released two solo albums, Grounded Bird and the ARIA nominated Eat My Shadow. She also spent a decade living in Los Angeles and appeared in the cult television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which regularly featured her songs.
On her new role with Women of Letters, Hart said “Michaela and Marieke have both worked so hard to create an event that is now an institution within Melbourne and beyond. I am beside myself delighted to have been asked to join the esteemed WoL team. I will endeavour to honour this with an open heart and a healthy curiosity for those human truths that everybody has to tell.”
Since its inception in 2010, Women of Letters has been touring to sell-out audiences across the globe. Venerating the lost art of letter writing, the program invites renowned artists, writers, performers and entertainers to write a letter ‘to’ a theme.
