More like WOOOOOOAH-MADelaide.
WOMADelaide has given a taste of things to come from its 2020 lineup, dropping the first 20 names heading to the Adelaide Botanic Park come March next year.
Notable acts from WOMADelaide’s 2020 program include Rock and Roll Hall of Famer inductee Mavis Staples, New Zealand singer-songwriter Aldous Harding, The Cat Empire, Sleaford Mods and plenty more. Special performances this year include a musical collaboration between Welsh harpist Catrin Finch and griot kora master Seckou Keita, and a fierce performance from Finnish all-female quartet Tuuletar.
In addition to the music, WOMADelaide has announced aerial spectacular As the World Tipped. Presented by UK company Wired Aerial Theatre, the show takes place 13 metres above the audience and blends elements of dance, theatrics and projections to illustrate the threats of climate change.
