Win: We’re giving away Frenchies’ new IPA series

Three lucky Beat readers are set to win two six-packs of Frenchies' new IPA series each.

Frenchies Brewery, Freestyle Hops and Hopsters Co-Op Brewery in Sydney’s Enmore have joined forces to bring beer lovers a new IPA series.

The collaboration series features three limited edition beers. These include a Hazy IPA, which features the Nelson Sauvin hop on a base of triticale, pale and wheat malts. Fruity, juicy and refreshing, it offers bright grape, gooseberry, and complex fruit aromas.

The Cold IPA showcases the Kohia Nelson hop, which combines Motueka, Rakau, and New Zealand Cascade with New Zealand passionfruit. It reflects a new process that the Freestyle Hops team have been experimenting with, whereby they add botanicals to hops and produce a uniform pellet, which creates some really unexpected and tasty flavours. This and more can be found in the Cold IPA, which Frenchies has integrated with maize, golden oats and pils.

The Dark IPA is the third beer in the series, and here the team shines a spotlight on the Rakau hop. This enticing IPA has an interesting, complex stone fruit character, and offers well-rounded background notes of tropical fruit and cannabis, all paired with malts including ale, roasted barley, torrefied wheat and crystal.
