Strawberry Fields has announced the 2024 Live Music Act and DJ Competition, offering a rare chance for emerging artists to perform in front of 13,000+ attendees in the picturesque Australian bush.
As part of the festival’s 15th anniversary, one live music act and one DJ will be selected to join the lineup and play alongside international artists.
Partnering with PBS 106.7FM, the competition will provide local artists a platform to gain international exposure. The winners will perform on stages alongside renowned acts like Daddy G (Massive Attack), Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Jaubi, KOKOKO!, and Soichi Terada.

For the first time, the festival has introduced a DJ Competition. Applicants must create a “Celebrating 15 Years of Strawberry Fields” mix to enter.
The winning DJ will open The Wildlands stage following the Opening Ceremony and Welcome to Country, joining a lineup that includes DJ EZ, KiNK (live), Sam Alfred, SWIM, Theo Parrish, and TSHA.
Last year’s Live Music Act winner, Your Girl Pho, made her debut at Strawberry Fields and has since garnered significant attention. This year’s competition winners will have the same opportunity to make their mark in the music industry.
A panel from Strawberry Fields and PBS 106.7FM will judge the entries based on originality, creativity, and alignment with the festival’s ethos. Applications are now open and will close on 8 September 2024.
