VOIID crushed their way into the Aus punk scene in 2016 with their debut EP ‘Pusy Orientated’, followed by 2019’s EP ‘Drool’ and 2020’s EP ‘Socioanomaly’. Their scorching live shows take no prisoners, and has seen them share stages with the likes of  Grinspoon, Amyl & The Sniffers, Clowns, Cosmic Psychos, DZ Deathrays, WAAX and more.

The band explain, “Lexapro is a huge rant about coming to terms with the realisation of what place women hold in the world, struggling with the intricacies of your mental health and the frustration that comes with wanting to open up but fearing if people will listen. It’s about feeling forever unheard, forever less than, forever inadequate”.

Anji Greenwood (vocals) and Kate McGuire (guitar, vocals) are teenage friends from Queensland’s Central Coast who moved to Brisbane and started the band with Mina Cannon(drums) and Antonia Hickey (bass). VOIID is their energetic power tool to amplify their frustration with the world and that of those who feel their voice is overlooked.
