A host of gifted musicians will rock a concert finale to Melbourne Music on Sunday October 10.
The City Square will be rocking with the music of a bundle of talented local and unsigned acts when Victoria Rocks presents the concert final to Melbourne Music on Sunday October 10.
Victoria Rocks aims to help bands and solo artists take their music career to another level, and share their music with the community. Since its inception in May 2007, the initiative has helped to distribute over $2.2 million to struggling Victorian musos, and has recently been granted a further $2.6 million and a three year funding commitment by the Victorian Government.
The line up for the concert finale consists of many talented musicians who have received support from the Victoria Rocks program, such as Keith! Party, Kate Vigo, and Puta Madre Brothers. The show will be headlined by the recipient of last years Australian Music Prize Red Bull Award, the delightful and charismatic Oh Mercy.
Alexander Chow, of Oh Mercy fame, had this to say about the program. "Victoria Rocks has helped many of our friends tour, create and record music which may not have been possible otherwise"
A new round of artists receiving grants from the program will be announced at concert finale in October.
It’s free to come along to watch and support these artists, so get down to the Melbourne Town Hall on October 10 and show some love for your local music scene.
