Conducting is Leonard Weiss, with arrangements by Alex Turley; the Australian composer and arranger behind orchestral work for Rüfüs Du Sol, G Flip and Parkway Drive.
Performing alongside her long-time band members Dave Jenkins and Ross James, Vera Blue will bring her most celebrated songs, plus new material, to life with full symphonic force.
Expect sweeping strings, luminous textures and an expanded sonic landscape that takes already emotionally charged music and turns it into something insanely cinematic.
It’s been five years since Vera Blue last performed with the MSO, and a lot has changed. Fresh from releasing Go Lucky, a euphoric, dance-charged third single from her forthcoming third album, she arrives at this collaboration in a bold new artistic chapter, her sound pushing toward bigger and more ambitious horizons than ever.
For those who’ve followed her trajectory from haunting folk newcomer to platinum-selling, ARIA-nominated artist, the arc makes total sense. From Hold and Regular Touch to Rushing Back with Flume, her voice has always carried an almost theatrical scale; intimate one moment, arena-sized the next. An orchestra doesn’t just suit that; it’s the logical next step.
