Those who donate three cans of food or $5 get to jump the queue to get into the venue.
Booths for fans to drop off these donations will be situated outside the gates of the venue. You can’t miss them: there’ll be a huge ‘Skip The Line’ banner.
Vans Warped’s association with Feed Our Children Now! began in America, where the charity was set up in 2007 in New Jersey. The tour’s involvement has been a boon for its initiatives to set up food programs across the US. This year’s US tour alone raised almost 330 pounds of food.
Vans Warped founder Kevin Lyman said, “This program has become so successful on the US tour that when given a chance to continue this on our Australia run we felt we had to. Hunger is universal, and if our fans can help minimize it, it makes it all the more worthwhile to do what we do.”
This year’s Australian Vans Warped tour lands in Melbourne on Saturday December 7, venue TBA. The bill includes The Offspring, Parkway Drive, The Used, Simple Plan, New Found Glory, The Summer Set, Kids In Glass Houses, We Came As Romans, Man Overboard, Crown The Empire, The Dangerous Summer, For All Those Sleeping, Veara, Anarbor, Mallory Knows and RDGLDGRN.
