Multi-platinum R&B star Usher has cancelled his upcoming Past Present Future Australian tour.
The American singer was scheduled to perform 12 arena shows across Melbourne and Sydney this November and December. However, promoters have now confirmed that the Usher Past Present Future Australian tour will no longer proceed as planned.
Originally announced as an eight-date tour in early May, the shows expanded to 12 performances due to overwhelming demand during the pre-sale period. Additionally, four extra shows were added when fans demonstrated strong interest before general ticket sales began.
The cancelled performances included six dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and six shows at Sydney’s SuperDome.

These would have marked Usher’s first Australian appearances since his R&B Fridayz headline performances across the country in 2018.
Neither Usher nor his promoters have provided specific reasons for the tour cancellation. Meanwhile, all scheduled shows have been swiftly removed from sale with official confirmation that the performances will not proceed.
The tour formed part of Usher’s global Past Present Future world tour, which celebrates the artist’s extensive catalogue spanning multiple decades.
Ticket sales had progressed well during both pre-sale and general release periods. Subsequently, the sudden cancellation has left thousands of fans disappointed across both cities.
The refund process will handle all ticket purchases automatically through the original payment methods used. Consequently, customers who bought tickets through standard channels need not take any action to receive their money back.
However, customers who purchased tickets at Ticketek agencies or used Ticketek gift vouchers have been contacted directly. These buyers will receive emails requesting additional information to process their refunds accordingly.
Ticketholders should expect refunds to appear in their accounts within approximately 30 business days. Additionally, those with questions about the refund process can contact their respective ticketing providers for assistance.
The cancellation represents a significant disappointment for Australian R&B fans who had waited six years since Usher’s last visit. Furthermore, the artist’s global tour continues in other markets, making the Australian cancellation particularly surprising for local audiences.
