UMO have a great knack for producing songs that sounds like it could have been lifted from any musical era in the past 50 years, and Multi-Love is no different. It’s wonderful, as UMO often are, exhibiting a canny acumen for refined songwriting and tonal exploration. There was a stray tweet from The Mint Chicks account late last year reading “writing,” and as tantalising as that sounds, I can see myself being well and truly sated with the new UMO LP.
