British comedian Ed Gamble is set to return to Australia with his new show Hot Diggity Dog, following a successful UK run that included five nights at London's Hackney Empire and a sold-out London Palladium performance.
The Taskmaster champion and Off Menu podcast co-host, whose previous Australian tour Electric sold out in 2023, has garnered critical acclaim for his latest work. The Guardian praised his “well-spun jokes and great audience rapport,” declaring Hot Diggity Dog “maybe as good as comedy can be,” while The Evening Standard highlighted his “smart, self-deprecating humour” and “bracing bursts of physical humour” in a four-star review.
The tour marks a continued period of success for Gamble, who recently released his first book Glutton: The Multi-Course Life of a Very Greedy Boy and brought his award-winning Off Menu podcast with James Acaster to live audiences.

“I’m delighted to once again be packing all my underwear into my little satchel and making the journey to Australia,” Gamble said, recalling an incident from his previous tour when “a woman was late to the show because a chicken pecked her in the eye. That will be hard to top, but we’ll do our best.”
Gamble’s recent television work includes hosting The Traitors: Uncloaked podcast, judging Great British Menu, and appearing as a guest host on Pointless alongside Alexander Armstrong. He also co-hosts a Sunday morning Radio X show with Matthew Crosby and has made regular appearances on panel shows including Mock the Week, QI, and Would I Lie To You.
His earlier work includes co-writing series 3 and 4 of Greg Davies’ sitcom Man Down and starring as Georgie Carlton in Almost Royal. His previous stand-up tours include Blizzard and Blood Sugar, the latter released as an Amazon Prime special.
Tickets for all shows are currently on sale through Bohm Presents.
