Red Bull Sound Select is an artist development program that curates artists from local scenes and brings together musicians at the onset of their careers with already established acts.
The program supports these acts through 200+ annual shows and festivals, in studio collaborations, music distribution opportunities and marketing.
Red Bull Sound Select has teamed up with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Mick Jenkins and Sampa The Great.
June 29 kicks off the event series, boasting an unmistakably local punk-leaning lineup at Collingwood’s Gasometer Hotel.
The lineup features soulful local headliners Tyrannamen, fierce four-piece Sex Drive and local hard rock group Miss Destiny.
DJs Psychedelic Coven will bridge the night’s live sets with their paranoid selections.
From June, Red Bull Sound Select will visit Melbourne for a monthly lineup programmed by record label Chapter Music, I OH YOU and Laneway Festival.
