Australian charity Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD) has partnered with Universal Music Australia for its fourth year to assist young people in breaking negative cycles and overcoming challenges through music, dance, mentoring and creative expression.

The likes of Troye Sivan, Jonas Blue, Snow Patrol, Thundamentals, Vera Blue and more are set to share their experiences with how music has changed their lives in the lead up to MMAD Day on December 7, with Sivan launching a video detailing his journey with music today. Check it out below.

In addition to international and Australian musicians sharing their stories for the cause, the project will also see ten young people banding together to create a song and accompanying film clip to inspire others to speak openly about any struggles they may be facing. The song and film clip will be launched on MMAD Day.

Imagine a world and our own lives – our formative years, our trying times and our happiest moments – without music,”  says Dominic Brook, Co-founder of MMAD charity. “This day is all about celebrating the power of music in making a difference in the world and acknowledging the artists who’s music has impacted our own lives. At MMAD, we witness the power of music every day. But on MMAD Day we encourage everyone to celebrate its power, and those songs & artists that helped shape who we are today.”
